In addition to the three owners, Tri-State Cattle Feeders has 8 quality employees.  Chances are you’ll talk first with Martha Tijerina, our secretary.  Pedro Galan heads up a feeding crew that consistently delivers top quality rations while Elio Najera heads up a qualified cattle crew that has been handling livestock their entire lives.  Martha has been with us for 13 years, “Pete” for 14, and Elio for 4.  In feedlot years, our people have been with us a long time.  We have over 150 years of combined feedlot experience here at TSCF, and several more years general experience with cattle.  Overall, 11 of us work together to make things go right for your cattle and for you. We are privileged to work with Dave Hutcheson, PhD.  Dr. Hutcheson is one of the most highly regarded animal nutritionists in the world.  Hutch is on call 24 hours/7 days for any special needs we may have. Our vet is Chris Grotegut, DVM.  Dr. Chris and Steve have been good friends since kindergarten.  Our open communication and his hands-on attention have helped us through some tough pens of high-risk cattle.  We’ve developed a treatment regimen that, while not faultless, will compete with the best of them.  Dr. Chris is available to us 24 hours/7 days, and he is also available to our customers.
